I already found out that my switch is patched, and upon further research, I believe it can be done with a mod chip. However, I don't know, so before I buy or do anything risky, I wanted to ask the only people who'd know for sure. Patched v1/v2 switches and even OLED ones can be hard modded with a mod chip. Patched units have been out for 4 years now. Any leftover unpatched switches stores had are long gone. At some point one will show up used I would imagine, but it probably isn't worth the time and effort it would take to call them and ask or go into a store every few days..
